The story behind BLACKMAN MKOLONI

After a research conducted on YouTube, we came across Simply the maze an artist from Nairobi Kenya whose recent project "Blackman mkoloni"   hits differently.

This project was well done from the instrumentals, content composition, audio production and visuals production. The quality of this project was worth spending on. Producer Drisa of megalinkEnt never disappointed, he did his magic on mixing and mastering the Blackman mkoloni project.

We decided to interview Simply the maze through the phone for we were mostly interested with knowing and understanding the content far much better.

"Simply the maze claims being the Nairobians favorite rapper after releasing Blackman mkoloni the main track of the BLACKMAN ALBUM!"

Our interview with Simply the maze

STMvideos: Simply the maze, why did you come up with Blackman mkoloni project?

Simply the maze: Because I had already started working on Blackman and I had to deliver the actual happenings within my community to the world. During the period when I was composing this project, there were local media platforms claiming that there was no content in the local music industry. I decided to talk about something that was actually happening in our community and I majored it in a political perspective.

STMvideos: Simply, we heard you mention 'akina Waweru' in Blackman mkoloni. What are they?

Simply the maze: Akina Waweru ndio wakoloni wa leo... Akina Waweru are fictious characters employed in Blackman mkoloni project whose main role is to represent the current black colonists. Actually in this project, they represent the actual current corrupt officials of the system.

STMvideos: Simply, tell us more about Blackman mkoloni.

Simply the maze: Black mkoloni is also the main track of Blackman album.
